The Genetics Society of Chile (SOCHIGEN) and the Chilean society of evolution (SOCEVOL) are pleased to announce that this year they will jointly hold their respective Annual Meetings 2022.
This Joint Meeting will be held in hybrid format, being the face-to-face format at the Teaching and Research Assistance Center of the University of Magallanes (CADDIE), Punta Arenas, during the days 21 to the 25 November of this year.
INSCRIPTIONS
Registrations can be made through the 4ID Congress Play platform, which will be readily available. Registrations can be made early with reduced prices until 15 de octubre. After this date the registration will have normal prices.
In addition, the members of both companies will be able to access a reduced registration value with respect to those people who are not members. By this, among many other reasons, we invite you to contact SOCHIGEN (contacto.sochigen@gmail.com) o SOCEVOL (socevol@gmail.com) to know the modalities to associate with our scientific societies.
Registration for the Joint Annual Meeting includes:
- Access to all oral sessions, poster sessions, symposia and plenary talks.
- Access to all the virtual talks associated with the congress, which will be available by 1 month
after the event is over. - Access to cocktails, coffee breaks and social activities that will be held during the congress.
- Book of abstracts (digital).
- Certificate of Participation.

BREASTFEEDING AND CHILDCARE ROOM
To facilitate the participation of members with minors in charge, the enclosure will have a room to breastfeed and a multisensory stimulation room with staff enabled to take care of the children during the activities of the congress. At the time of registration, please indicate if you will attend with a minor(ES) and what is the age of this(to)s.
CODE OF CONDUCT
It is important to mention that during registration for the Joint Annual Meeting the Code of Conduct must be accepted. (HTTPS://cutt.ly/4JCaR6q) that will govern during the days of congress. This Code aims to avoid situations that threaten the physical and / or psychological integrity of those attending the congress.
PROGRAM
The program of the Joint Annual Meeting contemplates the realization of free communications (in oral sessions or panels), symposia, and plenary talks.
The deadline for receipt of abstracts for the free communications (oral and posters) It's him 22 August. The portal to upload the summaries will soon be available through the Congress Play platform of 4ID, in the current one you can find the instructions to upload your works.
In the case of symposia, the deadline for submitting symposium abstracts is 1 August. The information of the symposium proposals must be completed in (HTTPS://cutt.ly/yJCsfqx). This form must indicate: title of the symposium, name of the organizers, name of exhibitors, and a summary of 250 words. The scientific committee of the Joint Annual Meeting will select the symposia that will be part of the congress, giving priority to those symposia with regional and gender equity.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships will be awarded to cover expenses of attendance at the congress. Information on the scholarship program will be updated promptly.
