Between the 7 october and 5 November of 2021, the University of Bío-Bío will organize the intensive course “Introduction to Phylogenetic and Metagenomic Methods of Fungi”. The course will be in charge of the Instructors Dr. Moses A. VALLADARES (Chile), DRA. Maria Belen Pildain (Argentina), Sci. Lucia Molina (Argentina) and Dr. Jaime R. Cabrera-Pardo (Chile). The workshop is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students interested in delving into the fundamentals of molecular phylogenetic inference, estimation of divergence times, species delimitation analysis, metagenomics, among others. The course considers theoretical and practical sessions (morning and afternoon) using animal models, vegetables and with emphasis on fungal taxa.
The workshop will be free (limited vacancies) and will be held in virtual mode (Zoom). The course considers 10 days (60 hours; 2 days per week).
The application will be made by sending a Letter of Intent (maximum extent 1 page) and cv summarized to Dr. Cristian Torres (firstname.lastname@example.org). The deadline for receipt of applications will be 17 September of 2021.
