FIRST CIRCULAR

The Sociedad Chilena de evolution (SOCEVOL), the Colombian Association of Evolutionary Biology (COLEVOL) and the Argentine Society of Evolutionary Biology (Know), join to announce the First Latin American Congress of Evolution (CLEVOL), which will be held virtually between the 30 of November and the 3 December under the 4ID platform: https://play.4id.science/clevol1/. This event aims to bring together all Latin American researchers(as) in Evolutionary Biology at their first mass meeting.

Pre-registrations are now open on the event page, which will be continuously updated with all the information about the organization of the event.

The estimated date for receipt of abstracts shall be 15 August of the 2021 and the thematic areas of the congress are:

Teaching Evolution
Evolutionary Ecology
Evo Devo
Molecular evolution and comparative genomics
Philosophy and History of evolutionary thought
Phylogeny and biogeography
Population genetics and adaptation
Macroevolution and Paleobiology

The registration modalities are:

1- Students of all levels (Pre-Postgraduate) and alumni(as): Totally free

2- Faculty and Postdoctoral Students: They will have an inscription that will be of 30 Dollars (Usd).

at the most, However, work is being done on this issue and would be released if the sponsors cover the costs of organizing. The final cost for this modality will be announced on 15 August.
