The Australian Ornithrinque, resemb to a beaver and duck beak, exhibits a number of strange features: lays eggs instead of giving birth to live babies, suda milk, has poisonous spurs and is even equipped with 10 cromosomas sexuales. Now, researchers have conducted a unique mapping of the ornithrinc genome and found answers on the origin of some of its strangest features.
